WinningBidder.com is designed to take electronic payments from winning bidders. However, a winning bidder may pay for their item(s) by check or cash.

The procedure for recording the payment within WinningBidder.com differs depending on whether the winning bidder won any TravelPledge experiences.

When there is not a TravelPledge experience on the invoice...

If there are no TravelPledge experiences on the invoice, you can deposit the check into your bank account and fulfill the won item(s).

Optionally, you can mark the winning bidder's invoice as paid within WinningBidder.com

  1. From the Event Dashboard, click Bid Report.

  2. Click Manage Bids next to any item won by the winning bidder who paid by check.

  3. Click the ... menu to the right of their winning bid.

  4. Choose Mark Invoice as Paid. This will mark their entire invoice as paid, including for other items they owe money for.

When there is a TravelPledge experience on the invoice...

If there are TravelPledge experiences on the invoice and the winning bidder paid you by check, you will need to pay the winning bidder's invoice through WinningBidder.com before a TravelPledge certificate can be issued.

  1. From the Event Dashboard, click Bid Report.

  2. Click Manage Bids next to a TravelPledge experience won by the winning bidder who paid by check.

  3. Click the ... menu to the right of their winning bid.

  4. Choose Mark Invoice as Paid.

  5. In the popup warning about unpaid TravelPledge experiences, click Pay Invoice.

  6. Proceed to pay the winning bidder's invoice through WinningBidder.com.

You will be paying the winning bidder's entire invoice, even for non-TravelPledge items. Stripe fees apply to the entire invoice amount and are deducted from the net donation ultimately deposited into your organization's bank account.
